A SPELL TO SEE SPIRITS
To see spirits, old European grimoires recommend mixing together aloe,
pepper, musk, vervain and saffron, and burning this in a cemetary. We can adapt this for other locations (like those in which the spirit lived) by adding a bit of sweetgrass or tobacco to a specially prepared incense. Create the incense on the anniversary of the death of the individual you wish to contact. This is then burned at 11 am, in the safety of a majick circle that also holds symbolic items to connect you to the entity.
An incantation to encourage the spirit's presence is:
"Guardians of the Spirit realm,
hear and guide my plea.
When the witching hour rings true,
bring my relationship, name of person to me.
Other souls who hear my call,
are not welcome in this place.
Only the one known as name of person may enter sacred space."
Repeat the request three times, twenty minutes apart, then wait quietly for indications of a presence. Signs include the scent of flowers, or favored cologne, a cool wind, movement of curtains, and candles going out or twitching erratically. Once you feel sure the spirit is with you, do not make it tarry overly long. Take care of your business, say farewell, and thank the guardians for their assistance before closing the circle.
A Word of Caution:
Spiritual entities should not be banished or called for amusement. It is best to contact a knowledgeable, experienced psychic for advice or assistance before undertaking any spells of this type. It is used for communication,and understanding the purpose of spirits. The best times are in-between times, such as noon, midnight, dusk and dawn. Halloween. Seasons of late fall and winter. When the Moon is in Libra. Eclipses. Wednesday.
ALL ABOUT SPELLS
The spell is at the heart of folk magick. it is simply a ritual in which various tools are purposefully used, the goal is fully stated (in words, pictures or within the mind): & energy is moved to bring about the needed result.
Spells can be as simple as reciting a short chant over a fresh rose while
placing it between 2 pink candles in order to draw love; forming & retaining an image of the needed result in the mind; or placing a quartz crystal in a sunny window for protection purposes.
To perform effective magick - 3 necessities must be present: The Need, the Emotion & the Knowledge.
It has been said that magick was the first religion, & that if you lovingly
utilize the forces of nature to cause beneficial change, you also become one of them.
It is these powers that have been personified as Goddesses & Gods. Attuning with them is a spiritual experience & is the basic of all true religion.
COMPOSE THE RHYME OR WORDS OF POWER
Clearly state your need.
Clearly state all dimensions of your need (enduring love, rather than just love; complete protection, rather than just physical protection; etc.).
If possible, mention some of the tools that you've decided to use in the spell in your words of power or magickal rhyme. Indeed, for some spells, these words may help you to structure the entire rhyme or chant.
Use hypnotic words (those beginning with 's" or containing a "z") for psychic-awareness, love, healing spells; Use potent, strong words for protection spells. match the words to the type of ritual you're composing.
Don't expect the words to simply flow from you. Work at it & work with them. Your psychic mind knows what you need.
EXAMPLES:
"I ask in the name of (Goddess & God or The All) that I, Morgan, be granted (state desire)...I ask that this be correct & for the good of all people. So mote it be. In no way will this spell reverse, or place upon me any curse."
"In this night & in this hour, I call upon the Ancient power. O Goddess Bride & Consort Bright, I ask thee now to bring your light."
"I have a need that must be met. I ask thee (name of deity) that I obtain the perfect (whatever it is) for (reason)."
"I ask the Universe to lend the power of all the correct astrological
correspondences so they may enter this circle now to obtain my desire."
"Therefore, I specifically draw toward myself the (desire) without affecting the free will of all & harming none."
"I now proclaim this spell is done. The (desire) is mine! In no way will this spell reverse, or place upon me any curse! As I will, so mote it be!"

BREAKING A SPELL

SPELLS TO BIND
A binding spell is the act of grasping the negative energy that is propelling a person or thing & stopping it. In a way, you are negating the unhealthy energy.
The most important thing to remember when conducting a binding spell is that you must control your own violent emotions of hatred or fear. The binding spell is for protection only, not for harm. This is not easy. The Goddess to be employed is Aradia, Queen of Witches. Be sure you are honest in your intentions. Aradia's
symbol is the red garter. If you desire justice call upon Maat, she who balances the scales. However, you must be sure that your own hands are free from violence
& hatred, lest she weighs the scales for you as well! Her symbol is thepure white feather.
The binding itself is a very simple matter. A poppet can be sewn to represent the malicious person. Fill it with earth (grave dirt if you can find it), rosemary, sage, a piece of smoky quartz & a piece of amethyst. Also enclose a piece of the person's fingernails, a lock of hair, or another personal item.
Handwriting can be enclosed if you have nothing else. Photos can be used also. If your intention at any time during the ritual is to harm that person, remember that you will only bring harm upon yourself - so be very, very careful.
If you can't do the ritual right away, store the doll (with the head still open) in a white cloth. During the ritual, you will sew up the head while connecting a psychic link. Then you will proceed to sew arms & legs of the doll together. You will finish by wrapping the doll mummy-fashion with a black ribbon. Bury the doll when you have completed the ritual.
A person can also be bound using mental capabilities.
Placing a sample of a person's handwriting & copper tightly in an old bell jar is a way of stopping malicious gossip. When the danger is over, burn the handwriting.

AIR SPELLS
To Rid Yourself Of Your Troubles
On a dead bush that is still planted in the ground, in a place where the wind can blow through it, tie a leaf onto a branch for each thing that is bothering you. Leave the shrub and as the leaves are blown off, your troubles will leave. This spell will begin to work over a couple of weeks so be patient.
To Get Rid of Fear
Light a yellow candle and concentrate on willing your worries onto the candle; see your worries becoming infused with the candle. When this is accomplished, take the candle outside and let the wind extinguish it. The spell is complete.
To Make A Decision
Write your various choices down on separate sheets of paper and lay them on a free standing table where a gentle breeze is present. Let the wind move the pieces of paper around and the last one to remain on the table is the choice you should follow.
To Stop A Cyclone
Run into a field a place a knife in the ground with the sharp point facing the direction the wind is coming in. The knife should split the wind and your property will be spared.
AN ALL PURPOSE SPELL TO AFFECT ANOTHER
This simple spell can be used for any purpose - whether it be to empower a person, to heal them, to bind them etc.
Simply choose the appropriate color candle and scribe the person's name and your intent upon it. Anoint it with an appropriate oil.
Light the candle and while watching it burn, repeat the following chant,
focusing upon your intent as you do so.
Powers that be, Powers of 3, Let X be all I see.
What are some anger relevation spells?
Symbolic baneful actions are also cathartic actions. They drain and clear
our poisonous feelings and allow our own emotional healing to begin. If wedeny ourselves this outlet, what happens to the grief and pain and rage?
I am part of the All. "An it harm none" is about me too. Release of my
feelings is my right.
At first it seems like an insoluble paradox. But the same understanding of
magic that forbids projection of our bad feelings can open a safe channel
for those feelings. Here's one possible form:
Preparation:
1/ Understanding
Think about the Alcoholics Anonymous prayer "Grant me the serenity to
accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference." People of any religion can
recognize the wisdom in these words. This ritual is intended to ease
emotional pressure. I believe that is a step towards granting all three of
those things to ourselves. If your hurt is ongoing, take steps to stop
it...What good this Circle does you will be temporary at best if you are
not acting on both the magical and material planes... Prevention and
healing are human tasks; to do them is to change the things we can change.
Justice - the evening of karmic balances - is the business of the Gods, and
may take place across a span of many lifetimes. Karmic balance is not a
thing we can change.
2/ Set Up
* You have some decisions to make. 1: Whether you will work alone or ask
one or more trusted friends to witness and facilitate your working. 2.
Nest, exactly what kind of symbolic action will release your feelings? Will
kicking a pillow suffice, or do you need to make a poppet, or will
screaming work? If you want to work with a physical symbol, prepare it in
advance. Do not use anything you will want to keep after the rite or ever
use again. 3: Figure out whether you can cast a Circle to include your
bathroom, or leave a cast Circle for a period of time. If possible, have a
warm scented tub waiting for you. If not, a basin of warm scented water anda washcloth within easy reach just outside your Circle will suffice. Also,
a ritual meal, including something green and growing, and something sweet,should be prepared and waiting just outside the Circle.
3/ Procedure
Waning moon is a good time, and the Dark of the Moon is even better. Castthe Circle and invoke the Watchers in your usual manner. Call on the Crone,on She who weeds and prunes and disposes of the obstructive and
unnecessary.
Just inside the Circle, like a membrane in an eggshell, cast a grounding
shield. One possible image for this shield would be a black absorptive
chain link fence, supported at regular intervals by fence posts that are
lightning rods. Whatever happens within this space will be grounded.
Make clear to yourself what you wish to drain. Say it aloud, even if you
are alone. Recall what happened to you in detail and let the feelings grow
strong.
Now let go of your feelings. Do whatever will help you to release what is
in you. Beat on a pillow or rip up a doll. Scream till you cry. Don't stop
till you are emptied. Then fling the thing you used as a symbol out of the
Circle.
When you are sure you are all done, all drained, contract the shield into a
tight ball in the center of the Circle. As it contracts, it will gather the
negative energy from the Circle. Ground it. Affirm that you are sending
this energy to the fire at the heart of the Earth to be purified in that
blast furnace and cycled to wherever strong energy is needed. Know that
what you now let go is gone. Affirm this vocally.
Wash or bathe in ritual manner, feeling the last traces of your bad
feelings dissolve away. If others are present, allow them to wash and serveyou.
Rest for a few minutes. Feel the peace of emptiness.
Then invoke the Maiden's energy for new beginnings. Have the ritual feast,
and indulge your senses. Gentle and joyful music would be effective, and
you may wish to switch to a sweeter smelling incense. This is a time to
dream dreams and plan plans. You have removed an energy drain from yourlife, and you can.......?
Thank and dismiss whatever Beings you have called on, throughout the wholeritual. Close your Circle as usual. Do not do any other kinds of working orworship within this particular Circle.
Follow Through:
The final part of any effective magical working is "acting in accordance"
on the material plane. By doing this we give the magic a channel through
which to manifest. For this working, there are three forms of follow
through, and all are important.
1/ Remember that painful feelings are partly habitual. Stop feeding the
habit. Don't talk about the pain with anybody until at least the second
full moon after the working. This gives the habit the chance to fade out.
Eliminate the topic from your internal dialogue as well. Thinking about
action to change your life is perfectly ok; the problem is reiteration
about the old feelings of frustration and helplessness that impede change.
2/ If the hurtful situation is current and ongoing, continue with any steps
you were taking to change the things you can change. In fact, you will
probably find you have more energy than you did before to devote to your
projects.
3/ Be sure to use some of your newly freed emotional energy to reward
yourself. Take time for friendship, love, and pleasure. The object of the
exercise is to clear space for the enjoyment of life, so start right now.
Angel Trap
The purpose of the angel trap is to capture and dissolve any 'angels' created on the astral by the fundamentalists to seek out and harass anyone that does not share their religious beliefs.
The Angel Trap was originally published in Green Egg. The author's name is Frater Scientibus. The author of this version is Julie Waters. She changed it slightly and made it her own.
* I have added an extra instruction at the beginning and it works wonderfully for me.
You will need:
a clean jar with a tight lid
soapy water
kosher salt
paint (black, red and yellow)
sealing wax
a lighter or matches
Preparation:
* With your black paint, paint X's all around the middle of the jar. They don't have to be large to be effective. When that is dry, paint an X on the bottom of the jar. Let dry. The purpose of the X's is this: when the angels get trapped in the jar, they will look for a way out. There will be none. They will have no choice but to dissolve. They will also know never to bother you again for they will know what the consequences will be.
Pour the soapy water into the jar, swirl it around coating all sides. Pour the water back out.
Slowly pour the salt into the jar. Turn the jar at an angle to coat all sides.
While this is drying, paint the lid black. Let dry.
Next, take the lid and paint a pentagram on the top of it using the red paint.
When that is dry, paint a spiral in the center of the pentagram using the yellow paint. Visualize this spiral as being a pathway into the center of the jar.
When the spiral is dry, carefully put the lid back on the jar making sure not to dislodge the salt.
Use the wax to seal the jar.
Anger Spell
This spell needs to be done alongside flowing water - I suggest in a private corner surrounded by bushes at the side of a stream. Create your circle. Cup a black stone in your hands and raise it to your forehead, concentrate and send all your anger into the stone. Do this for as long as you can until you can do it no longer, then hurl the stone with all your might into the water and say:
"With this stone Anger be gone
Water bind it No-one find it!"
Place your palms upon the ground for a few moments to earth the power and allow your circle to fade. Now go home and take care of yourself for you may feel depleted for a while, but you will be better. Alternatively, you may feel great straight away.
Antidepression Spell
Here is a sure-fire, anti-depression spell. Note that this spell requires the daily involvement of the depressed person.
1. Mornings just after sunrise and evenings just before sunset are to be spent outdoors in silent meditation, eyes open. 20 to 30 mins is good. Concentrate on your breathing, and if the weather is inclimate, a spot in front of a east-facing window in the morning, west-facing in the evening. Your thoughts, if any, should be of the sun.
2. No more than 4 and no less than 3 nights per week, your evening meal should consist mainly of fresh shellfish -- crab, shrimp, oysters, etc. Your thoughts during these meals should be of the moon and the tides.
3. On those mornings of the days when you are not having shellfish as your evening meals, you should begin you day with the following tea: 1 tsp. feverfew tincture in alcohol (you can prepare this by soaking dried feverfew in vodka for 2 weeks, or buy it from an herbal store), 1/4 tsp American ginseng powder, 1 tsp lemon balm, 1 tsp green tea. Pour boiling water over all of this in a Chinese tea-pot, and drink all the tea.
4. At least 3 days of the week, go for a 20 - 30 min walk in a quiet,
outdoors, preferably wooded area. You should walk at a quick pace, and your thoughts should be on the harmony of nature, and your place in the natural world.
5. Avoid alcohol except very occasionally and moderately.
6. If this spell hasn't been effective after a month, schedule a visit to
talk with your doctor. An addition to this spell that works even better is
taking one Prozac a day. Your doctor can help you get hold of this.
ARTISTIC INSPIRATION
Prepare:
Pen, pencil or paintbrush (depending on the art form)
Elmer's glue
Silver glitter
Almond, sage or vanilla essential oil
A white candle
This is a simple spell to bring you divine inspiration to write and create
visual art.
Anoint the candle with the essential oil you have chosen and using an athame or a small, sharp tool, inscribe the name "Brighid" (goddess of poetic inspiration), or if you prefer not to invoke a deity, simply inscribe your art form which you need inspiration in. Light your candle and begin.
Squeeze some glue onto a piece of scrap paper and dip the end (not the useable part) of your craft tool into it, covering about an inch deep. Then roll the end in the glitter so that it is completely covered. As you do, focus on the inspiration you seek. Say your own blessing over the tool, then situate it so that it can dry without the glittered end getting smashed. The next day, make a few attempts at your art with your newly enchanted tool in hand. Let the inspiration come to you and flow from your mind to your material.
SPELL TO BANISH NEGATIVE ENERGY FROM A HOUSE
Take four black candles and put them at each of the cardinal points of your house. Next to each candle put a piece of onyx or lodestone or a piece of magnetized iron. Light the four candles and see them sucking up all the negative energy in the house and channeling it back into the earth through the stones.
Next take a stick of incense (frankincense or sandalwood is best) and draw a banishing pentagram of Earth at each window, wall, door and corner of your house. (To draw a banishing pentagram of Earth: start at lower left then up to top then down to right then across to upper left point and back to upper right point and finish at lower left point.) Visualize the negative energy being pushed beyond the pentagram and locked outside as you complete it. After the candles have burned a bit and you feel that the have absorbed the negative energies bury them outside around the house (in the four directions). Leave the
stones where they are, and visualize them as a spiritual electric fence that keeps the negative energy or pesky spirits from coming back in.

Do the same with the candle
On a piece of paper, write full name of person to be banished. Roll up and tie with black string. Sprinkle with salt water and recite:
Thou creature of paper.
By paper made, by paper changed.
Thou art not paper, but thou art negative influences in (person to be bound).So mote it be!
Light the black candle.
Burn the paper in the candle, visualizing all negative power over you vanishing in the flames and rising out of your world with the smoke.
Sprinkle basil and garlic over the flames and recite:
Blazing force of cleansing fire
Help me in this rite.
By air and earth,
water and fire
So be you bound
With this rite,
Your power takes flight
Sky and sea,
Keep harm from me
Cord go round,
Power be bound
Your negativity will no longer come my way.

Banishing Emotional Pain
I wrote this when I had an intense need for emotional healing. It is
just a basic outline, but it will give you the tools to ease your heart. The
key to successful well working is inside you. They are mostly need driven,
and adding your own energies is vital.
Tools:
black candle
pen
paper
These are the basic tools for the spell. Add to this oils, ( I like cinnamon
- protection, love, healing) or crystals, stones or whatever you feel you
need to use. You don't have to anything because, the ritual itself is enough on its own. just remember its YOUR spell.
Choose your dark mother, the one who applies to your situation. I chose Kali - Ma, as she is the protector of women and children. I also feel strongly bonded to her. Know your choice of deity! Study her/him.
Find a special spot, preferably outdoors, because you will burn the paper.
Write down all your hurt, and pain, and difficulties. ( sadness, loneliness
... what ever you are feeling) You might even write a letter to the
individual(s) who made you feel this way.
Open your circle, light your candles(s) and speak to the spirit, ask to be
free of the burdens you are feeling. use rhyme if you need to, or if you are
like me and are no good at such things , just talk.
Burn the paper with the writing on it
As it burns, thank the spirit for the taking these burdens from you and
giving you peace. thank her for the gifts you know you will receive.
Imagine yourself free of your troubles. Imagine yourself enveloped by the
goddess' strength and protection.
Close your circle, and bury or scatter the ashes of the paper. Allow the
candle to burn itself out.
Take from this what you need and suits your own needs. I hope it is as
helpful to you as it was to me.
BANISHMENT SPELL
This is a spell for love gone wrong, for ending a personal, family or business relationship that you no longer wish to be in. It is a fire spell. To work it, gather herbs of protection and an image of the person (photograph, poppet, etc.) Something written in their own hand, a lock of hair, a piece of clothing or a personal object will also do.
Put everything into a fireproof container - iron cauldron, marble mortar, whatever - and set fire to it as you perform the spell. Add the photograph or a piece of paper with the person's name on it if you have trouble getting the fire going. It should make a very satisfactory blaze that reduces to ashes. The ashes can be buried or washed down a drain.
Flush them down a toilet if you are very angry. Dispose of all the objects that connect you to the person: gifts, letters, photographs, etc. It is especially important to get rid of jewelry. Move house if you have to. Be careful with this spell. It's permanent, so don't use it unless you really mean forever. It's also powerful. The person I used it against had a pregnant wife, and their child was born with a hole in its heart.

blaze that reduces to ashes. The ashes can be buried or washed down a drain.
Flush them down a toilet if you are very angry. Dispose of all the objects that connect you to the person: gifts, letters, photographs, etc. It is especially important to get rid of jewelry. Move house if you have to. Be careful with this spell. It's permanent, so don't use it unless you really mean forever. It's also powerful. The person I used it against had a pregnant wife, and their child was born with a hole in its heart.

A BASIC LOVE SPELL
(be careful how you use these)
Take three cords or strings of various, pleasing pastel colors- perhaps pink, red, and green- and braid them tightly together. Firmly tie a knot near one end of the braid, thinking of your need for love.
Next, tie another knot, and another, until you have tied seven knots. Wear or carry the cord with you until you find your love.
After that, keep the cord in a safe place, or give to one of the elements- burn and scatter the ashes in the ocean or in a stream.
BASIC SPELL CONSTRUCTION
Because of the very nature of Magick, each working should be highly
individualized and personal. Even if following a traditional spell, it should be tailored to your specific needs to be most effective for you. Understanding the basics of Spell Construction will enable you to formulate your own specific, effective spells for any purpose you desire.
Preliminary planning is necessary. The very first step is to decide precisely
what your desired end result is to be. Before you can start, you must decide where you are going. You must be very explicit.
It is important, also, that you choose your time carefully. You should take into consideration all Astrological implications, energy currents and Moon phases.
The Moon is the astronomical body closest to us and, therefore, has a profound influence upon us, it is very important to choose a time when the Moon is in an astrological sign which is appropriate for your working. For example:
Aries/Action - Enthusiasm, Taurus/ Renewal - Sensuality, Gemini/Communication -
Curiosity, Cancer/ Emotion - Nurturing, Leo/Vitality - Determined,
Virgo/Organizing - Studious, Libra/Balance - Cooperation, Scorpio/Sexual -
Philosophical, Capricorn/Authority - Ambitious, Aquarius/Innovation - Social,
Pisces/Sensitivity - Idealistic.
Bear in mind that magickal workings for gain, increase or bringing things to you, should be initiated when the Moon is Waxing (from Dark to Full); when the Moon is Waning (from Full to Dark), it is time for magickal workings of decrease or sending away.
The highest energy occurs at the Full Moon and, therefore, this is the most powerful time for magickal workings. The New Moon is the next most powerful time for Magick.
Whenever possible, follow Nature's natural Energy Currents. There is a natural time for starting things (a planting time), for maturing things (a growing time), for reaping things ( a harvest time) and, of course, a time for rest and planning.
Flowing with these currents will make your magickal work much easier. Remember to plan your project for a time of uninterrupted privacy. It is important that you have no distractions. Generally speaking, it is best to work as late at night as possible. A time when there is less frantic energy is most appropriate. You might consider Midnight or later.
In choosing a place to do your magickal working pay particular attention to your needs, for you must be comfortable. Your place should be private, quiet and secure. If at all possible, set aside a special place for this purpose only. An unused room, a special corner of your bedroom, a quiet, secluded spot in your garden. A place that is yours. A place that you can come to whenever need arises and that is as free from intrusion of others as possible.
Prior to the night of your magickal working, gather together the things that you will need. All of the things used are tools. They have no inherent magick. They are to help you create a mood. If correctly made and used, they will trigger primitive responses from deep within you. They should be chosen with care. and so forth, should bring forth a sexual response.
If the desired result of your Magick is Tranquillity,
then the tools should make you feel calm, peaceful and serene. Any candles you might use should not have commercially added fragrances as these may not be appropriate for your working.
Prior to your ritual, prepare yourself and your equipment by any means necessary to clean and purify. Historically, people have fasted, followed meticulous and detailed bathing practices, practiced chastity and used many other methods.
Most often a Ritual Bath is the preferred method. A bath frequently utilizing candlelight, fragrant herbs, bath salts or sensuous oils. A sumptuous hot bath, special bathing preparations and appropriate lighting, combined, can create the soothing effect which will help in the very important step of relaxing and
clearing the mind completely of all mundane thoughts and experiences of the day. Your ritual Bath should, also, begin to set the specific vibrations conducive to your purpose into motion. You must not only cleanse and purify but must, also, begin to create the type of energy necessary. Once your purification process has been accomplished, you are now ready to begin. Proceed to the special place you have previously chosen in which to perform your magick. If at all possible, you should make use of the primitive responses set into motion by a well-chosen
piece of music. Your music should start slowly and build to a rousing climax.
As you use your oils, light your candle or incense (or utilize any other tool
you have chosen), you should begin to further intensify the energy that you have set into motion around you. A high degree of intensity is vitally important.
The Altered State of Consciousness that you must reach is not a meditative state. Anything that interferes with your ability to concentrate upon, reach and control the high energy state necessary to perform magick should be avoided. Such as, screaming children, a sink full of dirty dishes, use of alcohol or drugs, etc.
Do not scatter your energy by attempting to do more than one magickal working at a time.
Remember that Magick is the manipulation of energy, a thought is a form of energy and a visualization is an even stronger form of energy. Your
visualization can be a method used to intensify further and direct your will. Your visualization can be the method by which you control the magickal energy you have produced. You must know what you want. You must see it. You must feel the high-energy flow. You must direct it.
One of the most important elements in the practice of any form of Magick is the Universal Law of Cause and Effect. This means that whatever you do (or don't do) you cause something to happen.
The most important consideration is the Universal Law of Retribution. This means that no matter what you do, it comes back to you in like kind.
It is the nature of things that as you send something out it gains momentum, so that, by the time it comes back to you, it is three times stronger. If you do something nice for someone, someone will do something nicer for you.

BE A WINNER SPELL
You will need:
A piece of white cardboard (large enough for you to sit on)
A blue pen
The best time to cast this spell is on a Monday night at seven o'clock.
Begin by taking a bath or shower. After drying yourself thoroughly, remain
undressed and go into a private room in your home where you will be undisturbed.
Put the piece of cardboard on the floor and draw on it a large circle in a
clockwise direction with the blue pen. Then stand within the circle, raise your arms into the air and take a few deep breaths. After you have done this, seat yourself in the center of the circle and repeat these words:

This spell will change people's perception of you. Inner beauty will surface and become "visible". People will actually see your inner beauty as being a physical part of you. You will also become more confident and outgoing.
Light one orange candle and one rose colored candle. Sit before a mirror and concentrate on all your best features. Allow your flaws to diminish. Continue to focus as you recite this rite. When you are done with the rite, put out the candles but do NOT blow them out. You must snuff them out. Continue the ritual nightly until both the candles have burned away entirely.

Spell to be friends with your womb
Items:

blanket from grandma, chair
Preparation:
fast from onset of menstruation to time of ritual
enter room, have door locked from outside
Invocation of the East:
(raise retractable athame)
"Oh, east, maiden who is yet untainted by the dark blood of
menstruation, innocent and unexposed to the searing pain and anguish
of this deep mystery. Enter this circle and remind me of the freedom
from this endless cycle."
Turn to center of circle and jab athame 13 times into womb to
(symbolically, of course) banish the pain from the body. Sit and eat
1/4 of the ice cream. Turn on electric heater to remedy the cold
flashes. Write an enthusiastic letter to a long lost friend from
childhood. Adorn with drawings of flowers and stick figures.
Invocation of the South:
(assume squatting position to ease the cramps) "Oh, south, the fires
that burn within, the heat of passion, the heat of enveloping pain, oh
bright blaze, enter this circle and light the fires of my body..."
Quickly enter center of circle and turn off heater. Turn on fan to
cool down hot flashes. Eat 1/4 of the ice cream. Reread letter and
remember some insignificant thing your friend did to make you angry.
Burn letter in cauldron. Turn off fan and wrap yourself in your
grandmother's blanket. Sit and fume for a while.
Invocation of the West:
(sit in chair and rock back and forth at an immeasurable speed) "Oh
west, cycles that govern me, cycles that control me every single day
of my existence, oh Mother who I am obviously not right now, enter and
tell me what I have to look forward to."
Eat 1/4 of ice cream. Cry hysterically for no reason until you pass
out. After regaining consciousness, clean mess with kleenex. Take
off blanket because of hot flashes. Take off remainder of clothes.
Invocation of the North:
(eat remainder of ice cream while speaking) "Oh, north, crone, wise
woman, mmmble, slmmrble, slrrrrrp, mmmmblp, slrrmmmmmblp!"
Clean face and hands with tissues. Burn used tissues in cauldron.
Play with the fire. Laugh at something that happened last week. Feel
a surge of euphoria and become one with the universe. Pick up the
blanket and think of grandma. Cry hysterically. Put on clothes and
clean up.
To dismiss the quarters say:
"You are all so great, I love you all so much, what would I do without
you, lets go have a pizza."
Bang on door until someone lets you out.
BEAUTY SPELL FOR SELF ESTEEM
Get some lilac or roses and pull off petals and drop into water (rainwater if possible) chant "water that falls from the sky above, flowers that grow from the earth below bring your beauty upon me" Chant till flowers are all in the water do everyday till you feel prettier. Splash your face with the water also when you are done.
BINDING A SPELL (Classic version)

Preparation:
Work with brown candles. Take the following herbs and empower each with its meaning and becoming closer to your pet/familiar in mind.
- Catnip - Helps create a bond between you
- Vervain - For Peace and Protection
- Gardenia - For Spirituality
- Saffron - For Strength
- Love Seed - For Friendship
- Passion Flower - For Friendship
Working:
Take 1/2 of the empowered herbs and wrap in a small square of brown cloth and tie it off with a brown cord or string. Take the other half and make a smaller sachet for your pet. Wear yours four days meditating with your pet at least once a day.
You can tie the pets sachet on while meditating. After those four days take all the herbs and burn as an incense while sharing a meal with your pet.
BINDING SOMEONE DANGEROUS
Best performed on Saturday (Saturn's Day),
To bind a criminal / one who intends to do harm,
To bring someone to justice
Collect your materials, including a poppet you made to represent the person in question.
Cast a circle.
Light a black candle and burn myrrh incense.
Sprinkle the poppet with salt water, saying
Blessed be, thou creature made of art.
By art made, by art changed.
Thou art not clothe (or wax, whatever)
But flesh and blood
I name thee ___________ (person being bound)
Thou art s/he, between the worlds, in all the worlds,
So mote it be
Hold the poppet and imagine it enmeshed in silver net, binding the person in question.
Tie the poppet up firmly with red ribbon, binding all parts of it that could
possibly do harm.
Charge it, saying,
By air and earth,
By water and fire,
So be you bound,
As I desire.
By three and nine,
Your power I bind.
By moon and sun,
My will be done.
Sky and sea
Keep harm from me.
Cord go round,
Power be bound,
Light revealed,
Now be sealed.
Release the powers and open the circle.
Bury the poppet at the time of the waning moon, far from your home, under a heavy rock.
Go home and have some juice and do grounding. And clearing meditation.
Binding Spell
I have a binding spell done in the dark of night that worked extremely
fast and very well.
Begin with a black banishing candle and some black crochet thread (unless youhappen to have lots of natural spider web around, or a trained spider) and ablack plastic spider.
Tie the end of the thread to the spider so that it can be used to wrap the
string around a candle in a spiral, nine passes up then nine down. (This causes a candle to burn extremely high so make sure you don't work this near anythingthat can catch fire... like long robe sleeves or curtains or such.)
Annoint the candle with a suitable banishing oil, (something usually foul
smelling unfortunately) Then begin at the base of the candle wrap the thread up the candle in nine passes, then back down. As you wrap upward use a modificationof Bucklands knot spell.
By pass of one, the spells begun,
By pass of two, it cometh true,
By pass of three, so mote it be,
By pass of four, energy I store,
By pass of five, the spell's alive,

As you pass the thread back down the candle in nine passes to cross the first,you may use this, or a variation on it. (Mine happens to be binding a female). It should be done in the dark of the moon.

Snip the spider from the thread, knot it at the base of the candle. Then
meditate as you burn the candle. (If you have had assistance from a live
spider, please release it kindly after finishing.)
I do recommend you use this with caution. Be sure you are ready to take anylessons from Karma headed your way as well.
Binding Spell
Binding

The purpose of this ritual is to rid yourself of somebody who is mentally or emotionally abusing you.

Materials:
Cloth poppet, leave the head unstitched until you are ready to begin the ritual
Needle and thread
Some personal item from the person you want to bind (fingernail clippings, hair, handwriting sample)
Black ribbon
Black candle
Cauldron or other fireproof container
Sterilized needle
Piece of paper and pen
One candle at each quarter (optional)

Ritual:
Call the quarters - I like to use candles at each quarter to form a circle of
fire for extra protection.
Light the black candle
Concentrating deeply on the person you are binding, place the personal object inside the head of the poppet and sew it shut.
Tie the black ribbon around the poppet's head, signifying the binding of that person.
''With harm to none, my will be done
I hereby bind you (name of person)
Your words cannot harm me
Your thoughts cannot harm me
You cannot harm me''
Continue chanting this or something like it until you feel power surging through you. Visualize the person helpless to slander or verbally and mentally abuse you while you are chanting.
Now, to bind the spell -
If you have a sigil or a Craft name, sign it on the small piece of paper. If
not, sign your own full name. If others are working the ritual with you, they too should sign the paper.
With the sterilized needle, prick one of your fingers and put a small drop of blood over your signature. Again, if others are working with you, they should place a drop of blood over their signatures. (using a different needle, of course)
Fold the paper, light it on fire and drop it into the cauldron (which should be on a heat-proof surface!).
Meditate on the flames until the paper completely burns away. If you are working with a group, join hands at this point and feel the power surging around the circle as the spell is bound.
Ground and close the circle. Thank the Goddess and God for their protection andpower.
Discard the poppet as far away from you as possible within the next few days.
Blackout And Sigils
The blackout or as it is commonly referred to, the death posture, is the
technique that the late Austin Osman Spare refined for his own magical use and which has been adopted by chaoists, solo and group, world wide as its popularity has been increased by the works of the IOT over the last decade or so.
The normal procedure, as many will undoubtedly be familiar with, (and this is only one of its uses) is that a sigil/glyph of desire is held in the mind`s eye whilst in what we all refer to as the death posture e.g., stoodon tiptoe, arms locked behind the head, body stretched to its limit, deep spasmodic breathing, until total exhaustion and inevitably one blacks out, the sigil is then lost to the mind of the inner and the banished of laughter is evoked to prevent the resurfacing of the said sigil.
Anyone who has used this technique for the above said purpose, will have at sometime or another experienced, even if just slightly, difficulty in holding the posture long enough for the desired gnosis to take effect sufficiently for blackout. And due to this difficulty, a well planned ritual can be a well planned waste of time as the desired result is not implanted properly.
A technique that has been repeatedly employed by myself on such occasions is based upon the same principles as the death posture but as I have found, a little easier and without pitfalls that one can experience with A.O. Spare`s technique.
This technique is a strange mixture of inhibitory and excitatory gnosis, forced overbreathing, dancing or spinning, and of course exhaustion. The end result is of necessity for this process the blackout, which is as we know, of the inhibitory gnosis. I will now explain how this technique is employed byone for the insertion of sigils for whatever purpose one feels the need.
First one has to sigilise the desire in any form that one may wish, but in all cases and especially this one, it must be very easy to visualise. Once that has been achieved, one may then begin to design the ritual for that particular purpose in mind. Banishings and invocations may be employed, if so wished, this is, however, not a necessity for the successful outcome of this process. At the culmination of the rite the individual starts the overbreathing, panting deeply and spasmodically and at the same time visualising the sigil as vividly as you possible can, bright, intense and very clear as the overbreathing continues.
Then when you feel that the time is right, start your spinning round and round, still overbreathing and still holding your visualised sigil in your mind`s eye. Music can be played for a background to the dancing, tom toms or any other drum is rather excellent background sound for this purpose. When the individual has reached a state of sheer exhaustion, very dizzy, sweating and ready to drop, he or she then, still spinning and overbreathing and of course holding the visulised sigil in mind, works their way to the centre of the circle or working area.
There a partner, either active or passive to the rite, (in other words, if a
solo worker, try to get someone to help you with this part) stops you spinning and grabs you in a bear hug lifting you off the ground and squeezing you about the solar plexus, where a large network of nerves lie. At this precise moment the music, if any has been employed, is stopped, and death-like silence is kept.
The practitioner holds his or her breath whilst being squeezed and the sigil is visualised as if burning with bright, white heat as its image is burnt into your mind. Within seconds the blackout will occur and the sigil is lost to the mind.
At this point it is important that your partner lets you drop to the floor,
unless that is you wish to return to primal chaos!
On coming round, in most cases, you should evoke laughter to banish the sigil and all thoughts thereof, your laughter breaks that silence and the rite is finished in whatever manner wished.

THE BOTTLE SPELL
This spell can be used to neutralize the power of those who intend to do you physical harm, or hurt your reputation, or in any way pose a threat to your security.
Supplies:
4 tablespoons frankincense or myrrh
4 tablespoons black powdered iron (available at pottery shops where ironstone is made)
4 tablespoons sea salt
4 tablespoons orris-root powder (or oak moss)
1 white candle
1 bottle with a cork or lid
mortar and pestle
parchment paper
black ink or black ball-point pen
black thread
Mix the sea salt, orris-root powder, and iron in a bowl. Then cut a piece of parchment it fit inside you bottle and write on it with black ink, "I neutralize the power of (name your adversary) to do me any harm. I ask that this be correct and for the good of all. So mote it be."
Roll up the parchment, tie it with a black thread to bind it, and place it in
the bottle. Fill the bottle with the dry ingredients. Then take the white
candle and, while turning the bottle counterclockwise, drip wax over the cork to seal it. Last, secretly bury the bottle in a place where it will not be disturbed and no animal or person will dig it up. As you're placing it in the ground say: "In no way will this spell cause me to suffer any adverse effects!"
This spell is like a genie in a bottle. It should never be unleashed or the
power of the spell is lost.
BREAKING A SPELL CAST ON YOU
Get a white candle and place it in a holder.
Place the holder in the middle of your cauldron.
Fill the cauldron with water so that the candle extends above the rim of thecauldron and above the water.
Light the candle and visualize the spell being broken.
As soon as the flame burns down and touches the water, it will go out.
Dig a hole in the earth and pour the in the rest of the water and bury the
candle.
So shall it be!
A Spell To Break The Powers Of A Spell
If you believe that a spell has been cast against you, place a large black
candle in a cauldron (or a large black bowl). The candle must be tall enough to extend a few inched above the cauldron's rim. Affix the candle to the bottom of the cauldron with warmed beeswax or the drippings of another black candle so that it will not tip over.
Fill the cauldron to the rim with fresh water, without wetting the candle's
wick. An inch or two of the candle should remain above the water. Deep
breathe, meditate, clear your mind, and light the candle. Visualize the
suspected spell's power as residing within the candle's flame. Sit in quiet
contemplation of the candle and visualize the power flowing and growing with the candle's flame (yes the power against you). As the candle burns down, its flame will eventually sputter and go out as it contacts the water. As soon as the flame has been extinguished by the water, the spell will be dispersed.
Break your visualization of the spell's power; see it explode into dust,
becoming impotent.
Pour the water into a hole in the ground, a lake or stream. Bury the candle.
It is done.
Spell to Bring Good Things to You
This spell requires some of your regular cleaning supplies.
First, wash your back door, visualizing only good things coming through it.
Then do the same at the front door. Next, sweep off the front porch, sayingthat good things are coming your way. The next step is the sweep off thewalkway, again saying that good things are coming to you. Then clean yourdriveway, the same way. The last thing is to wash your mailbox, inside and out,visualizing and repeating good things are coming your way. Keep everything fun and lighthearted. Oh, you also need to wash windowsills.
This spell is very useful for people who are being given the "Run-around" bytheir lover or mate. It brings the wayward lover to heel quite nicely and once this is accomplished, you can dictate the terms of your relationship. You must not, however, allow the container to thaw or you will be back to where youstarted. When you defrost your refrigerator, borrow your neighbor's freezer!

One small receptacle big enough to hold the paper without
the need of folding. (The lid of a screw-top jar is
quite satisfactory.)
METHOD:
(1) Write the name of your lover/mate on one piece of paper.
(2) Place paper face upward in container.
(3) Write your own name on the second piece of paper.
(4) Place second piece of paper, face downward, on top of
first piece. Make sure that the bottom piece of paper
is exactly covered by the top piece.
(5) Pour honey into container so that both pieces of paper
are completely covered.
(6) Place container, complete with paper and honey, in
refrigerator freezer compartment.
*Note* If you're doing this for a mate who lives with you, don't use the
home refrigerator. Hahahahahaha!
This spell can be done at any time in any phase of the moon.
BRING SOMEONE CLOSE SPELL
There are any number of ways to dphotos of you and your beloved. You can set a candle in a bowl of water and allow it to burn until the water extinguishes it. You also may want to use Come-To-Me oil and/or incense for the spell. However you do it, visualize your beloved arriving from this spell. You can drip water (preferably full moon water) on afar to find your love. Always say the following:

Calling Love
Bringing Love to Your Life

Note: This spell is not intended to be used on someone. It is a general spellto be sent out to the universe, so you can find your mate. It will not makesomeone love you.
Create an oil consisting of 1/8c. unscented oil (safflower or sunflower),mixedwith enough rose geranium and lavender to create a pleasant scent. Blend thesein a clear glass jar. Empower the oil to the cause of finding love. Rub wellonto a Pink candle.
The Ritual
To empower the oil, focus on the jar, and think of the feelings of love.
Contentment, commitment, joy, etc. Allow this love energy to flow into the oil.
At a quiet moment, when you know you will be around long enough for the candleto burn fully, say the following prayer, and light the candle.
Oh Lady who loves us,
Oh Lord who loves us well,
Please bring my true love to me,
the one of whom my dreams do tell.
Bright Lady of the Heavens,

CALM FOR AN OPERATION
Before a visit to the hospital for an operation, make yourself a healing
package. Gather together a peridot or green crystal, a small vial of geranium scented body oil and a small makeup mirror. Wrap everything in tissue and put it all into a pretty gift box. Write these words on a blue piece of paper:
"Here within this magick box
I'll find enchanted fare -
a crystal to shine and light my day,
a secret oil to smooth my cares
and a looking glass in which I'll see
my loved ones smiling there."
This can also be made up for a friend.
CANDLE AND CRYSTAL SPELL FOR SUCCESSFUL STUDY
Anoint two yellow candles with lemon oil and light them. Take a citrine quartz, anoint with lemon oil also, and place in front of the candles so that the candlelight shines on it. Chant the following:
'Charge the stone with candle light
To fill my mind with wisdom bright
To keep my mind alert and clear
So that no bane can interfere
With the process of my brain
So what I read is knowledge gained
For all my life to stay with me
This is my will, so mote it be!'
Let the candles burn and charge the stone while you study. Keep the stone with you when you need to give papers, take exams or study.
CANDLE SPELL TO OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT
The altar should be set up as usual, with corresponding color candles and
drapery appropriate to your purpose. In addition to the two usual altar candles, you'll need one candle (color to match purpose) anointed with money oil. It's also helpful to burn incense according to your purpose.
Cast your circle in whichever fashion you choose, then with Dove's Blood ink, write your desire on a piece of blank parchment paper. Take a sharp instrument of some kind and with it carve what you want three times simply on the candle.
Then place the parchment with your desire under the anointed, carved candle.
When you feel the time is right, say:
"Upon this candle I will write
What I receive of thee tonight
Grant what I wish you to do
I dedicate this rite to you
I trust that you will grand this boon
O lovely Goddess of the Moon
I call earth to bond my spell
Air speed its travel well
Fire give it spirit from above
Water quench my spell with love

Bind your spell, ground, and open your circle. This spell is best performed at full moon when boons are granted. It is a pretty basic spell, but I've found that they are the best in some cases.
CAT MAGICK
One type of cat magick suggests naming your cats on one of the following
Egyptian naming days. (Last monday in April, second Monday in August, and third monday in December.)
Cast your circle, declare the cats name aloud and chant:
"Your name I set upon your brow,
And to four shining angels* bow.
This mark of grace your guardian be,
And make your name a magic key.
Goddessess of Moon and Might,
Bless my spells this Egypt's night."
*Instead of angels, you can amend this to whoever you called to your quarters.
CAR PROTECTION AMULET
Items needed:
* Three and a half ounces (3 1/2 oz.) unsweetened Applesauce
* Five and a half ounces (5 1/2 oz) powdered Cinnamon, Cedar, or Sandalwood.
* Yarn or twine
* Toothpick or other inscribing instrument
* Rolling pin or straight sided glass
* Round cookie cutter or glass
* Dragon's Blood Ink and pen
The Method:
To make several Car protection Amulets, mix the applesauce and powdered incense together, until a thick dough is formed. (You might need a little more or less of both items.)
Roll the dough into a ball and then flatten it with your hand. Next, use the rolling pin to roll the dough into a half inch thickness.
Cut out the dough with a small cookie cutter, or use the rim of a glass.
Let it sit undisturbed for fifteen minutes or so to dry out slightly.
Inscribe the dough with the two symbols, one on each side. (Let it sit a few minutes before inscribing the flip side.)
Pierce the dough to make a hole for stringing.
Let the amulet sit undisturbed until it is completely dry.
Using Dragon's Blood Ink, trace the runes.
Allow to dry completely.
Consecrating:
Do your normal ritual preparation and start.
Lay the thoroughly dried (unstringed) amulet on your altar.
Do a protection tool dedication as your trad dictates.
When you consecrate the amulet, pass one side (slowly) over the Goddess Candle, invoking her protection. Allow the soot from the candle to darken the amulet.
Repeat for the flip side using the God candle.
Close out the ritual as your trad dictates.
Use a soft cloth to wipe off the excess soot, allowing the soot to remain in the inscribed runes.
String the amulet. Hang it in your car.
Career Care Spell
The native people of California revered the oak as their "world tree," the acorn
symbolizing the cosmic egg, from which all life came, and the tree itself
symbolizing the cosmic axis, sacred to Earth Mother. The acorn represents
achievement and great effort; the oak tree represents durability, resolution,
and truth. A Thursday with a waxing moon is ideal for starting this spell.
You will need:
A green candle
A piece of green paper
2 acorns
A silver coin
On a Thursday morning, light the green candle. Close your eyes and imagine the
candle's light holding you in a safe cocoon. Write your name on a piece of
paper; followed by any ambitions you have for your career. Extinguish the
candle, and keep it to use later. For the whole of the day, keep the acorns,
silver coin, and paper in a pocket or pouch close to you. On returning home from
work, light the candle again, and pass the acorns and silver swiftly through its
flame. Wrap the acorns and silver coin in the paper and bury them in your
garden, or another favorite spot. Repeat this spell at yearly intervals for
continuing career success.
CHANGE EYE COLOR
Close your eyes. You must have complete focus and be concentrating only on changing the eye color. Any other distractions must be cleared from the mind.
Now fill you mind with the color your eyes are right now, naturally. Now see that color slowly change to the color you wish your eyes to become.
See it overpower your natural color. Imagine that the color shines like a ray of light from inside your mind, out through your eyes.
Visualize your eyes becoming that color as the light passes through them. (This process should take at least 15 minutes the first few times and you will have to repeat it after a while. Glamour fades as you "forget".)
Upon opening your eyes, you may or may not be able to see the change in the mirror.
CHANGE FOR THE BETTER
You will need for this spell:
Athame
Wand
Sword
A chalice of water
A pile of white stones
A white candle
A pink candle
A blue candle
A violet candle a yellow cande
A poppet
A picture of someone you wish to transform into a better person
For this spell I suggest you use an actual circle of earth, stones or anything else instead of using an athame or incense to inscribe it. Place the white candle in the center of the circle with the blue candle at the north, the yellow candle at the south, pink to the west and violet to the east. Place the pile of white stones in the center of the circle around the base of the candle. To get maximum power into the spell, place your pentacle at the base of the blue candle, you athame at the base of the pink, the wand at the yellow and the chalice at the violet.
Call corners, saluting each direction with your sword, invoking Hapy (N), Imset
(S), Duamutef (E), and Quebehsnuf (W), saying each time:
"Hail ______, Lord of the Watchtower of the _____, let your strength be one with
mine."
Place the poppet with the picture tied in place onto the head, into the white candle and say:
"Let the flame of white burn into thee purity."
Move up to each of the other candles in this order: NWSE, saying:
"Let the flame of blue burn into thee peace and truth
Let the flame of pink burn into thee happiness
Let the flame of yellow burn into thee joy
Let the flame of violet burn into thee insight and intuition."
Ground power by jabbing your sword into the earth at the center, North and South, saying:
"Circle open, but unbroken."
Then jab at the West and East, saying:
"Power down, to the ground"
Smother the flames of each candle with the tip of your sword in this order – Center, N, S, W, E.
CHARM TO EASE A BROKEN HEART
You will need:
1 teaspoon honeysuckle
1 teaspoon cyclamen
1 teaspoon lemon balm
6 inch square yellow cloth
orange calcite
lavender ribbon or yarn
On Sunday, mix the herbs and flowers together and place them in the center of
the cloth. As you add the herbs, chant:
Herbs of sweetness, herbs that soothe,
I ask you now this grief remove.
Bring to me new peace and joy
and all the sweetness you employ.
Add the orange calcite and say:
Sunny stone that amplifies,
Mix with these herbs and magnify
The goodness of their properties,
and grant me new peace and ease.
Gather the cloth edges together to form a pouch. Secure the pouch with the ribbon and carry it on your person.
CHARMED, I'M SURE
love spell
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
It seems to be an immutable law of nature. You are interviewed by a local radio or TV station, or in some local newspaper. The topic of the interview is Witchcraft or Pagan-ism, and you spend the better part of an hour brilliantly articulating your beliefs, your devotion to Goddess and nature, the difference between Witchcraft and Satanism, and generally enlightening the public at large.
The next day, you are flooded with calls. Is it people complimenting you on such a splendid interview? No. People wanting to find out more about the religion of Wicca? Huh-uh. People who are even vaguely interested in what you had to say??? Nope. Who is it? It's people asking you to do a love spell for them! This used to drive me nuts. I'd take a deep breath and patiently explain (for the thousandth time) why I won't even do love spells for myself, let alone anyone else. This generally resulted in my caller becoming either angry or defensive, but seldom more enlightened. 'But don't you DO magic?', they ask.
'Only occasionally,' I answer. 'And aren't most magic spells love spells?', they persist. That was the line I really hated, because I knew they were right! At least, if you look at the table of contents of most books on magic, you'll find more love spells than any other kind. This seems as true for the medieval Grimoire as for the modern drugstore paperback.
Why? Why so many books containing so many love spells? Why such an emphasis on a kind of magic that I, personally, have always considered very negative? And to make matters even more confusing, the books that do take the trouble of dividing spells between 'positive' and 'negative' magic invariably list love spells under the first heading. After all, they would argue, love is a good thing. There can never be too much of it. Therefore, any spell that brings about love must be a GOOD spell. Never mind that the spell puts a straightjacket on another's free will, and then drops it in cement for good measure. And that is why I had always assumed love magic to be negative magic. Years ago,
one of the first things I learned as a novice Witch was something called the Witch's Rede, a kind of 'golden rule' in traditional Witchcraft. It states, 'An it harm none, do what thou will.' One uses this rede as a kind of ethical litmus test for a spell. If the spell brings harm to someone -- anyone (including yourself!) -- then don't do it! Unfortunately, this rule contains a loophole big enough to fly a broom through. It's commonly expressed, 'Oh, this won't HARM them; it's really for their own good.' When you hear someone say that, take cover, because something especially nasty is about to happen.
That's why I had to develop my own version of the Witch's Rede. Mine says that if a spell harms anyone, OR LIMITS THEIR FREEDOM OF THOUGHT OR ACTION IN ANY WAY, then consider it negative, and don't do it. Pretty strict, you say? Perhaps. But there's another law in Witchcraft called the Law of Threefold Return. This says that whatever power you send out, eventually comes back to you
three times more powerful. So I take no chances. And love spells, of the
typical make-Bobby-love-me type, definitely have an impact on another's free will.
So why are they so common? It's taken me years to make peace with this, but I think I finally understand. The plain truth is that most of us NEED love. Without it, our lives are empty and miserable. After our basic survival needs have been met, we must have affection and companionship for a full life. And if it will not come of its own accord, some of us may be tempted to FORCE it to come. And nothing can be as painful as loving someone who doesn't love you back. Consequently, the most common, garden-variety spell in the world is the love spell.
Is there ever a way to do a love spell and yet stay within the parameters of the Witch's Rede? Possibly. Some teachers have argued that if a spell doesn't attempt to attract a SPECIFIC person into your life, but rather attempts to attract the RIGHT person, whomever that may be, then it is not negative magic. Even so, one should make sure that the spell findspeople who are 'right' for each other -- so that neither is harmed, and both are made happy.
Is there ever an excuse for the make-Bobby-love-me type of spell? Without endorsing this viewpoint, I must admit that the most cogent argument in its favor is the following: Whenever you fall in love with someone, you do everything in your power to impress them. You dress nicer, are more attentive, witty, and charming. And at the same time, you unconsciously set in motion some very powerful psychic forces. If you've ever walked into a room where someone has a crush on you, you know what I mean. You can FEEL it. Proponents of this school say that a love spell only takes the forces that are ALREADY there -- MUST be there if you're in love -- and channels them more efficiently. But the
energy would be there just the same, whether or not you use a spell to focus it.
I won't attempt to decide this one for you. People must arrive at their own set of ethics through their own considerations. However, I would call to your attention all the cautionary tales in folk magic about love spells gone awry. Also, if a love spell has been employed to join two people who are not naturally compatible, then one must keep pumping energy into the spell. And when one finally tires of this (and one will, because it is hard work!) then the spell will unravel amidst an emotional and psychic hurricane that will make the stormiest divorces seem calm by comparison. Not a pretty picture. It should be noted that many spells that pass themselves off as love spells are, in reality, sex spells. Not that there's anything surprising in that, since our most basic needs usually include sex. But I think we should be clear from the outset what
kind of spell it is. And the same ethical standards used for love spells can
often be applied to sex spells. Last year, the very quotable Isaac Bonewits,
author of 'Real Magic', taught a sex magic class here at the Magick Lantern, and he tossed out the following rule of thumb: Decide what the mundane equivalent of your spell would be, and ask yourself if you could be arrested for it. For example, some spells are like sending a letter to your beloved in the mail, whereas other spells are tantamount to abduction. The former is perfectly legal and normal, whereas the latter is felonious.
One mitigating factor in your decisions may be the particular tradition of magic you follow. For example, I've often noticed that practitioners of Voudoun (Voodoo) and Santeria seem much more focused on the wants and needs of day-to-day living than on the abstruse ethical considerations we've been examining here. That's not a value judgment -- just an observation. For example, most followers of Wicca STILL don't know how to react when a Santerian priest spills the blood of a chicken during a ritual -- other than to feel pretty queasy. The ethics of one culture is not always the same as another.
And speaking of cultural traditions, another consideration is how a culture
views love and sex. It has often been pointed out that in our predominant
culture, love and sex are seen in very possessive terms, where the beloved is regarded as one's personal property. If the spell uses this approach, treating a person as an object, jealously attempting to cut off all other relationships, then the ethics are seriously in doubt. However, if the spell takes a more open approach to love and sex, not attempting to limit a person's other relationships in any way, then perhaps it is more defensible. Perhaps. Still, it might be wise to ask, Is this the kind of spell I'd want someone to cast on me?
Love spells. Whether to do them or not. If you area practitioner of magic, I dare say you will one day be faced with the choice. If you haven't yet, it is only a matter of time. And if the answer is yes, then which spells are ethical and which aren't? Then you, and only you, will have to decide whether 'All's fair in love and war', or whether there are other, higher, metaphysical considerations.
She can o'ercast the night, and cloud the moon,

CIRCLE OF FIRE - PROTECTION
Have you ever been momentarily overwhelmed by a
feeling of hopelessness? Heed the warning and look
to your enemies. A strong possibility exists that
you have been ill-wished, "overlooked" as the
elders would say. Witches are commonly blamed for
casting evil spells, but in truth very few indeed
care to risk a Three-Fold Return. This conviction
that a curse sent forth will return thrice to haunt
you is a doctrine bred in the bone and one as old
as the craft itself.
Keep in mind that psychic attack is often the work
of an amateur with latent power enlivened by envy
or rage. Hate is a strong motivation and a sharp
weapon. However, a malevolent thrust from the mind
of a novice is over in a flash. An untrained will
cannot sustain the proper degree of concentration
needed to do real harm. Nonetheless, it is only
wise to identify the perpetrator and protect
yourself from further negativity.
Visit the ocean (or any free-flowing body of water)
to fortify confidence with an ancient Irish pagan
prayer.
I bind to myself this day
The swiftness of the wind,
The power of the sea,
The hardness of the rocks,
The endurance of the earth.
Cense the air of your home to purify the space and
comfort the spirit under siege. Frankincense and
myrrh are incenses notable for driving away the
forces of evil intent.
Of all the earth's herbal gifts, none affords more
effective protection than rue, the "herb of grace".
Hang a fresh bunch over your doorway and carry a
dried sprig to shield against harm from the ill-
wisher.
One of the simplest means to defeat psychic attack
is the Circle of Fire.
In privacy and complete darkness, light a candle.
Take a deep breath and stand as tall as you can.
Face east and raise the candle high above your head
for a moment. Bring the flame down to eye-level and
hold it there while you turn slowly deosil three
times. Concentrate your full attention on the blue
of the flame as you rotate in place. Raising the
candle high again, salute the east as you complete
the final circle. This erects a barrier through
which no evil thought can pass.
SPELL TO CLEAR UP BAD LUCK AND ACCIDENTS AROUND THE HOUSE
You will need handfuls of dried:
mint
rosemary
thyme
sea salt
In a big bucket, mix equal quantities of all of the above during the waxing
moon. As you do you this chant:
"Herbs of luck sublime
cleanse this home of mine
Good fortune bless this place
so we dwell with happy face"
In the morning before you go to work sprinkle the mixture all over the floors of the house. When you get home sweep it all up (or if you vacuum use a brand new bag).
The herbs will have absorbed the negative energy so take the mixture outside and burn it and then turn earth over it. Burning is important, don't just bury or throw in the garbage.
CLOUD EYE RITE
You will need:
An open space
Dry ice
Passivity
Open by whatever means feels appropriate.
Set the dry ice in the center of the working area.
Participants circle deosil around the ice, chanting "Ka ao opua lua" (the sharp pointed living cloud). In the Hawaiian legends, this was the name of the Kapula of the cloud people.
Circling and chanting continue for 10-15 minutes. When done, all sit down in a circle as close to the ice as possible.
All stare into the fog rising from the ice until tunnel vision sets in (the
field of vision goes black except for the object focused upon).
At the moment that tunnel vision occurs, say:
As below, so above
The cloud is in my eye
Ka ao opua loa
Carry my sight.
Participants begin spinning at increasing speed with eye closed, all the while repeating:
Tenfemet Douck
When spinning is no longer possible, participants lie on their backs and open the eyes completely (no squinting) and focus on the first cloud they see.
All repeat:
As above, so below
My eye is in the cloud
Phenomenize the cloud eye
Visualize a fog exactly like that rising from the dry ice leaving the eyes and rushing up to join with the clouds. Observe it entirely, passively and with the inner voice, repeat:
This self is Tenfermet Douck
The cloud that sees.
When tunnel vision again sets in, close the eyes and open them again quickly. Look down over the terrain that passes below your cloud eye. Note details if desired, but do not attempt to influence direction or speed of motion. All control of these should be left to the wind.
When you have achieved your desired results, switch out of the passive mode and attempt to influence direction or speed. Find yourself back in your human body looking up at the clouds.
Banish with laughter and leave the circle.
Cold Remedy Spell
Take one cup of the Cold Remedy Infusion and pour into running bath water.
Light a healing candle and place it at the far end of your bathtub. Or whichever one is furthest away from the shower curtain. Put on some inspirational music, turn off the lights and get into the bathtub.
While you are soaking, imagine your illness leaving your body and being absorbed by the bath water. Relax and breathe deeply. Do this for about 20 minutes.
Then take a quick shower imagining that if there is any illness left over, it
will be washed away. When you are done with your shower, say: "My illness is gone. I am healthy."
Know this in your heart to be true.
CONFIDENCE SPELL
You will need:
A lions head charm (buy or make one)
A yellow candle
Essential oil of rose, orange or hazel
Buy or make a charm that resembles a lion's head. (It can be as simple as you want it to be as long as you know what it is). Pass it three times through the flame of a yellow candle, meditating on your esteem and the respect you truly deserve. Then infuse the charm with your energy by anointing it with the oil.
Wear it on a chain or keep it in your pocket and when you see or touch it, you will feel your confidence build within you.
THE CONE OF POWER
The cone of power is a vortex of magickal energy which is raised within a circle by one or more witches working for the same goal.
One of the most common methods of power raising is dancing. Tradition dictates that one dance deosil (clockwise) for spells of increase or attraction, and widdershins (counterclockwise) for decreasing or banishing spells.
Start the dance at a steady pace using whatever music you wish as an
accompaniment. Then slowly begin to speed up the pace, continuing in this manner until you can feel the mass of energy raised above you. Then, concentrating on the goal, release the energy to go to where it is needed.
Other methods of raising power include drumming, chanting, and others...
CONSTRUCTING SPELLS
Spells can be as simple as reciting a short chant over a fresh rose while
placing it between 2 pink candles in order to draw love; forming & retaining an image of the needed results in the mind; or placing a quartz crystal in a sunny window for protection purposes.
To perform effective magick – 3 necessities must be present: The Need, the Emotion and the Knowledge.
It has been said that magick was the first religion, and that if you lovingly utilize the forces of nature to cause beneficial change, you also become one of them.
It is there powers that have been personified as Goddesses and Gods. Attuning with them is a spiritual experience and is the basic of all true religion.
COMPOSE THE RHYME OR WORDS OF POWER
Clearly state your need.
Clearly state all dimensions of your need (enduring love, rather than just love; complete protection, rather then just physical protection, etc.)
If possible, mention some of the tools that you've decided to use in the spell in your words of power or magickal rhyme. Indeed, for some spells, these words may help you to structure the entire rhyme or chant.
Don't expect the words to simply flow from you. Work at it and work with them. Your psychic mind knows what you need.
EXAMPLES:
"I ask in the name of (Goddess and God or The All) that I, (your name), be granted (state desire)…I ask that this be correct and for the good of all
people. So mote it be. In no way will this spell reverse, or place upon me any curse."
"In this night and in this hour,
I call upon the Ancient power.
O Goddess Bride and Consort Bright,
I ask thee now to bring your light."
"I have a need that must be met. I ask thee (name of deity) that I obtain the perfect (whatever it is) for (reason)."
"I ask the Universe to lend the power of all the correct astrological
correspondences so they may enter this circle now to obtain my desire."
"Therefore, I specifically draw toward myself the (desire) without affecting the free will of all and harming none."
"I now proclaim space and time, We call now the Old Ones; the Goddess of the moon, seas and rivers; the God of the rayed Sun, of valleys and forests; Draw near us during this, our circle.
BREAKING A SPELL
First Saturday after Full Moon or on a Full Moon; One white and One black candle for balance.
Props: protective nature (amethyst, apache tears or smoky quartz) – Say:
"On the Eve of (___) I cast a spell and the effect I created I must now quell.

SPELLS TO BIND
A binding spell is the act of grasping the negative energy that is propelling a person or thing and stopping it. In a way, you are negating the unhealthy energy.
The most important thing to remember when conducting a binding spell is that you must control your own violent emotion of hatred or fear. The binding spell is for protection only, not for harm. This is not easy. The Goddess to be employed is Aradia, Queen of Witches. Be sure you are honest in your intentions. Aradia's symbol is the red garter. If you desire justice, call upon Maat, she who balances the scales. However, you must be sure that your own hands are free from violence and hatred, lest she weighs the scales for you as well. Her symbol is the pure white feather.
The binding itself is a very simple matter. A poppet can be sewn to represent the malicious person. Fill it with earth (grave dirt if you can find it), rosemary, sage, a piece of smoky quartz and a piece of amethyst. Also enclose a piece of the person's fingernails, a lock of hair, or another personal item. Handwriting can be enclosed if you have nothing else. Photos can be used also. If your intention at any time during the ritual is to harm that person, remember that you will only bring harm upon yourself – so be very, very careful.
If you can't do the ritual right away, store the doll (with the head still open) in a white cloth. During the ritual, you will sew up the head while connecting a psychic link. Then you will proceed to sew arms and legs of the doll together. You will finish by wrapping the doll mummy-fashion with a black ribbon. Bury the doll when you have completed the ritual.
A person can also be bound using mental capabilities.
Placing a sample of a person's handwriting and copper tightly in an old bell jar is a way of stopping malicious gossip. When the danger is over, burn the handwriting.

SPELL FOR CONTACTING A FRIEND
This spell should be used to cause someone with whom you have lost contact to contact you. It is not manipulation so much as an astral call for contact when you have no other way to reach them that you know of.

Light the white candle and the incense. Place the picture of the person on your altar. Put 2 heaping tablespoons of salt in the palm of your right hand. Let a small amount of salt trickle into the glass while making the sign of the equal armed cross of the elements. Make this cross 3 times. Say " Call me" three times as you do this. Then set the glass on the altar and say "Get in touch with me, please." They should contact you by the time the water has evaporated from the glass.
CORD BINDING SPELL
This spell is adapted from one by DJ Conway in the 1996 Llewellyn MagickalAlmanac. It is intended to be used to prevent someone from causing you harm,and I have also used it to batten down anger (my own and another's). In orderto work properly it requires full concentration.
Take a short length of black thread.
Tie a knot in one end, saying: 'One to seek him/her/it.' (choose whichever
pronoun is appropriate)
Tie a knot in the middle, saying: 'One to find him/her/it,'
Tie a knot in the other end, saying: 'One to bring him/her/it,'
Tie the two ends together, saying: 'One to bind him/her/it.'
Bury the knotted thread far away from your property or drop it on a road or waste ground far from where you live.
And that's right, the rhyme is adapted straight out of Tolkien! However, I do NOT recommend that you finish off this spell with 'In the land of Mordor where the shadows lie'!
THE COVEN SPELL
The Coven spell is magical work performed within the circle
by the assembled Coven. It may be described as a battery of
wills, each person visualizing the thing that the Coven
wishes to bring about, concentrating on it and willing it
to happen.
Evidently, therefore, the object of the rite must be
decided before hand, and everyone must agree that it
should be made to come to pass. They must be earnest,
and keep their minds all the time upon their objective,
while the spell is being performed. The power of thought
is a very real and potent force, for good or for ill. It
can greatly be aided by visualization, either actual or
in symbolic form, of the thing one wants to come about.
DEALING WITH PSYCHIC ATTACK
What to do if you think you are being attacked.
1 - Question if it is really either imagination, or coming from within yourself. Something may be trying to get your attention, but it may not be external, and by focusing on an external "enemy" you may be missing the point.
2 - Check to see if you are yourself inadvertently sending something out; maybe someone is just reflecting some energy back! Nothing is gained if you get into adversarial mode in that case. Many people have been taught that reflecting is the proper response.
3 - Put up a grounding shield. Ground it out, send it to the Mothr who can
recycle the energy. Grounding is usually taught to every student. If you don't feel you can be a "conduit" safely, ground it by reflecting it downward to the Earth; that is a big target and easy to hit. By grounding it out, you are protecting yourself, yet not being caught up in it.
What not to do.
1 - Figure out who is sending it and counter attack. You might be wrong, and may be starting a feud. You might be right, but they may not realize that they are "sending" so you may start a feud or cause unnecessary harm. Even if you are right, you are escalating a feud, of which we have too many. This is commonly discussed as a bad idea.
2 - Put up a reflective shield which will return the energy to the sender. This is commonly discussed as a good idea, but we disagree. We think this is unwise.
For one thing, it is not necessary; if you can make an accurate return
reflection, you can certainly reflect it to Earth instead (where it can be
recycled). There is no reason you should not be able to ground out more energy than you can accurately reflect to the sender, if viewed properly.
For another, your accuracy in returning it may be less than perfect. You might hit close but not close enough; if you can't reflect it to earth, you are going to have trouble reflecting it to an unknown person.
Sometimes this is discussed as if once you return it, the sender will just stop; because they will awaken to what they are doing, or because the returning energy will be too much to handle. The thing which is seldom mentioned is that if the sender (assuming there is one) was consciously attacking, they will likely already be prepared with their own mirrors, etc. Great, if we put near perfect mirrors at each end and pump in energy, maybe we can get a psychic laser effect; guess who is just on the other side of the mirrors to catch the intensified leakthru?
If they weren't aware of sending, they will probably just assume they are being attacked and take countermeasures. If they follow the 3 steps above, fine, nothing is damaged. But many of them will immediately think they have to put up a defensive mirror, or maybe worse (see below; they may decide to teach you a lesson for attacking them). Few people naturally respond to perceived attacks positively (especially if they are in such a bad mood already as to be sending without even realizing it).
Another serious concern is getting drawn into a unacknowledged feud by your own weaknesses. It is often agreed that one should reflect back exactly what is received, without adding anything of one's own. But the same people who advocate that may use terms implying "returning it with enthusiasm". There appears to be an easily tapped source of self-righteousness in most people feeling attacked, and it is _very hard_ not to get drawn into imagining, at some level, the satisfying effects of the energy going back to the attacker; that draws one into a "counter-attack" even without realizing it. Grounding it does not.
Watch for yourself when people are discussing "returning to sender"; see if there isn't very often a hidden desire for revenge or retribution lurking there grasping for their "control panel" - and deflecting their normal attempts at staying centered by claiming to do no more than is "justified". Justified is not the question; self knowledge and balance are.
There is another thread which shows up often in discussions like these; the need to "teach the sender a lesson". In some cases, I have even heard this justified as "protecting the community". This way lies many³ ª ðÉü±PRINT D did the goddess give you an "agent of threefold return" marshall's badge, that exempts you from any consequences "because you are just an agent"? That hubris is gonna teach some hard lessons, but the self appointed marshall may be the major recipient.
It would be a little bit healthier to just shed the self-righteousness and call it an ego driven feud. "Teaching them a lesson" gets filed under the pitfalls of righteousness, the ways that one's own weaknesses seduce one.
Also consider, what if despite your initial impression, the negative energy is really coming from inside, from part of you? Are you going to be better off "reflecting it back" (maybe with additional conscious or unconscious oomph) or grounding it? "Gee, I returned it but good, and now they have stepped it up; the sender really needs a lesson!". That may be more true than you know, bucko.
Notice that nowhere do we say that one has no "right" to put up a reflective shield; of course one does, and is fully justified. Also, possibly, unwise. There is a distinction between what one has a "right" to do in "self defense", and what is wise to get drawn into. Reflecting it is neither necessary, nor likely to produce positive results, but if _that itself_ is the lesson to be learned, what can I say? Each chooses their own path, and that is as it should be. At least if one has considered the above, one should know what they are stepping into.
SPELL TO DEFINE THE IDENTITY OF YOUR TRUE FRIENDS
Perform during a full moon, preferably while the moon is in Taurus or Libra.
Assemble the following:
BASIL (against evil)
LEMON and PEA (friendship)
BAY (psychic ability)
CINNAMON (dreams)
HIBISCUS (divination)
DRAGON'S BLOOD (catalyst).
Place a potted PLANT on the altar (if you are doing this spell after having been betrayed in friendship, use an ALOE plant for healing). If you wish to divine the identity of your friends in a scry or other divination method such as tarot, also have an OBSIDIAN stone on the altar; if you prefer dream divination, use FLUORITE instead.
Cast the circle and raise the power. Light a BLUE (truth and friendship) candle. Grind the herbs together; as you do so, imagine their power flowing through your arm into your body. Release the power into the stone you are using. Once you have charged the stone, sacrifice the herbs to the elements by throwing some into the wind, smudging (burning) some in your cauldron, mixing some with water and pouring it away, and finally burying the rest in your potted plant. Then if you used the obsidian, scry in its surface or have it with you as you perform
some other divination. If you used the fluorine, wear it to bed that night and you will dream about your friends. Remember to record your dream so you can contemplate it more fully! Once your magickal workings are complete, bind the spell, earth the power and uncast the circle.

DESTRUCTIVE KNOT SPELL
If there is a situation, problem or possible menace you are facing, there is a knot spell for this.
Take the cord and firmly visualize the problem in all its agonizing detail.
Become emotional about it. Seethe with anger, crumble into tears, whatever works.
Then firmly tie the knot.
Walk away from it, out of the room if possible. Take a shower, eat, do whatever will get your mind off the spell and allow you to relax.
When your emotions are stabilized, return to the knot. With calm and peace, untie the knot. See the problem vanishing, dissolving into a dust that is swept away by the cleansing, refreshing North wind.

DOES HE/SHE LIKE/LOVE YOU? PUT A SPELL ON THEM TO

Can't get your mind off that certain someone? Can't decide if that certain
someone likes/loves you or not? What else is new? Why not put a spell on them to find out? I created this spell once when I had that exact problem.
What you need:
1 vanilla scented candle (needs to have been burned for at least 10 minutes sometime before)
Lilac scented home fragrance oil
1 piece of purple (light) colored paper
1 red pen
Matches
Tongs
What to do:
Write on the purple paper (using red pen) these exact words (fill in the
blanks):
I ___(your name)_______ love ____(his/her name)______ and if he/she loves me back, then he/she will not be able to think of anything or anyone else besides me until he/she lets me know how he/she feels. This flame represents my love for him/her.
Now read enough times so that you kind of know it by heart (don't have to know every word).
Pour just a dab of the oil on top the candle around the wick. Make sure that when you light the candle it is on a table with nothing else on it. Light the candle. Let it burn for a couple of minutes. During this time you should be meditating.
Hold the paper over the smoke (don't burn the paper yet) until you feel like it is engrossed with the flames power. Chant what it written on the paper for about 5-10 minutes non-stop. Try to stare at the flame and empower the flame with your love for this person.
After you are done chanting, take the paper in the tongs and burn it (you may have to blow it out and turn the paper and re-light so that you don't burn yourself). While the paper is burning chant "I seal this love will fire".
Every part of the paper should have been burned so that you can't read it. Put the pieces in an envelope and seal it shut. Put a dab of the lilac oil on the tip where you closed it.
Extinguish the candle and rub the wax on the edge of the envelop where you closed it (the flap that you licked and shut). Now send the letter (or give it) to the person. They must not know it was you who sent/gave them this envelope.
If they like you they should let you know. Remember this is not a love spell, this is a spell to find out if someone else loves you. Most of the time this works, but on occasion it doesn't.
SPELL TO EASE A BROKEN HEART
You will need the following ingredients (be sure to charge them all before you begin):
strawberry tea (one bag)

1 teaspoon dried jasmine

On a Friday morning or evening (the day sacred to Venus) take a bath in sea salt in the light of a pink candle. As you dry off and dress, sip the strawberry tea. Use a dab of strawberry oil as perfume or cologne. Apply makeup or groom yourself to look your best. Cast a circle with the willow wand around a table the other ingredients. Light the second pink candle. Mix all oils and herbs in the bowl. While you stir look at yourself in the mirror and say aloud: "Oh, Great Mother Goddess, enclose me in your loving arms and nurture and bring forth the Goddess within me." Gaze deeply into the mirror after you have finished mixing the ingredients and say aloud, "I represent the Great Goddess, Mother of
all things. I shine in the light of the Golden Wings of Isis. All that is great and loving only belongs to me." Then put half the mixture in the pink bag and add the penny and crystal. Carry it with you always [or until you find another love]. Leave the other half of the potion in the bowl, out in a room where you will smell the fragrance. Repeat this ritual every Friday if necessary.

EASE THE PAIN OF A BROKEN RELATIONSHIP
This spell can be performed to ease the pain of a broken relationship, divorce, death of a loved one or other painful circumstance and to build and renew a sense of hope in the future.
The ingredients you will need are:
One Black Candle
3 Pieces of Amethyst
Vetivert Oil
One White Candle
3 Pieces of Rose Quartz
Lotus Oil
At Sunset on the night of the Full Moon, take the Black Candle and inscribe with a short description of your problem, i.e. divorce, break-up, death, etc. Anoint the Candle with Vetivert oil and charge it. Set the candle in a holder on your altar. Take the three pieces of amethyst and hold in your hand. Visualize your pain and pour it into the stones.
Place the stones in a circle around the base of the candle holder and light the candle. Visualize the pain leaving you. Allow the candle to burn down one third of the way and then extinguish. Take one of the pieces of amethyst outside. Hold it into your hand and again see and feel your pain transferring to the stone.
Then take the stone and throw it from you with all your might. Never take this stone up again. Repeat this spell for the next two nights, until the candle has completely burned down, and the amethyst stones are gone. Take any remaining wax from the candle and bury off of your property.
At Sunrise on the morning of the New Moon, take the White Candle and inscribe with the word "hope". Anoint the candle with Lotus oil and charge it. Set the candle in a holder on your altar. Take the three pieces of rose quartz and hold in your hand. Visualize a positive future for yourself. See yourself living, laughing, and enjoying life. Place the stones in a circle around the base of the candle holder and light the candle. Visualize and feel a strong sense of hope and expectancy coming to you.
Allow the candle to burn down one third of the way and then extinguish. Repeat this spell for the next two nights, until the candle has completely burned down. Take the rose quartz pieces and place one in your purse, pocket, medicine bag, or amulet to be carried with you. Place another by a window sill in a sunny room. Take the last piece and bury it by a tree in your yard as an offering. If you don't have a yard, you may bury it in a flower pot or plant in your home or place outside the entrance of your home.
Be patient ... it takes time for pain to come to an end, but this spell will set you well on your way.
ESSENTIAL MONEY SPELL
Take five short green candles and ten quarters. Rinse the coins in warm salt water. Set five saucers in a circle and place on coin in the center of each saucer with a little melted wax. Securely fix a lighted candle on top of each coin. Distribute the five remaining coins inside the circle so that they form a five pointed star with the apex facing away from you.

EXORCISM SPELL
To purify any place of all evil entities or any supernatural force of a negative nature, take some dried and powdered sloe bark and mix it with anystrong unhexing oil (available at most occult shops), garlic powder and frankincense. With a new white candle lit, burn the mixture in a fire proof dish at the stroke of midday and the stroke of midnight in the area of negativity. Repeat the exorcism for seven days in a row.

Rub the oil on the candle and anoint yourself around the womb area with a drop of oil. Light the candle and incense and place the pine cones and wheat into a cauldron or metal container. Visualize your magickal goal and use the marker to draw yourself on the right hand side of the paper as you are now. Draw yourself as you want to be on the left side. (Flat belly, pregnant belly will do just fine). Visualize your goal while drawing. When you feel you've visualized enough, tear the paper in half and fold the left side with your goal drawn on it into a small square and place it in your pocket. Then light the other paper in the candle flame and place it in the cauldron to burn. Chant or pray for you goal to be realized as you watch the paper burn. Bury the contents of the cauldron in your yard, preferably in a garden. Leave an offering of a small crumb of cake on a crystal plate for any good spirits or fairies who might happen by. Stay positive so you don't attract the attention of any jealous or
bad fairies. Keep the paper with your goal on it with you at all times until
your wish is granted. Then you can place it in a safe place for luck.
FIDELITY SPELL
Choose a pair of your partner's underwear and a pair of your own. Take two nutmegs and write your partner's full name on one and your own on the other. Bind the two nutmegs with a red cord. Wrap them in the underwear and place them in a clean white envelope. Sleep with them under your pillow if your partner is away, or embed them into a drawer where you keep your favorite or most sensual clothes.
FETCHING SPELL
Cast the circle in the usual way, invoke the Watchtowers and Gods, purify. Go into the center of the circle and get into the most comfortable position, a position where you can remain motionless and completely relaxed for a period of 10 to 15 minutes. Have with you either a picture of the person that you are trying to fetch or the mental picture if you don't have an ordinary one. With the ordinary picture, concentrate in your mind the mental image of the person. Hold the mental image in your mind and dictate to this person what it is you will for them to do.

To Find A Lost Object
Sit quietly and think very hard about the object lost or stolen and
actually will its return to you. At the same time will evil on the thief if
he fails to return the object. Do this every evening until the object is
returned to you. such concentration and willing is telepathically picked up
by the thief who will have on rest until he appeases his conscience.
I have found that if you imagine your the object lost and mediate on this
thought its where abouts should come to you.
FINDING SPELL
When you have lost something (this works great with keys, not so well with remote controls), first look everywhere you can think of, especially the last place you saw them (the Gods get pissed off if you use magic out of sheer laziness.) If you still can't find it, stand still, close your eyes and calm your mind. Breath slowly from deep in your stomach and with your mind, call to the thing your looking for. Then open your eyes and begin to walk slowly around. The lost thing will call you to it. You must be aware and "feel" for it.
I once was looking for some seeds I wanted to plant and passed a shelf three times. I was sure I hadn't put them on the shelf but I kept coming back to the shelf and sure enough there they were calling out to me. I've also used this to find car keys lost in a huge field. I walked right to them.

Purification
This spells helps to rid you of vices or guilt that you may have and the spells are executed rather easily. Take a symbol of your vice, for example a cigarette or some food, and throw it into a raging fire. As the fire destroys the symbol, it will also destroy the power it had over you. For problems which can not be represented by a concrete symbol, draw something that represents the vice to you and throw that into the fire.
To Cure
Light a piece of oak wood on fire and wait until it is mostly charcoal. When it has reached this stage, throw it into water and as it crackles and pops envision the disease leaving the body of the person with the illness. Repeat this three times.
To Communicate With Others
Write a letter to someone you would like to hear from and then set a blazing fire. Throw the letter into the fire while you firmly envision the person's face. You should receive a reply.

FOR A LIFE FILLED WITH SUNSHINE
Light a candle and place a bunch of St. John's Wort beside it. Make a wish, then hang the bunch of St. John's Wort over an entrance door to your home. Leave the candle to extinguish itself. It will bring you your wish and ward off evil as well.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION
One protection ritual I'm fond of takes a symbol of the person, place or thing to be warded (a pen, a piece of jewelry, a little toy house or car) and drops it into a heavily charged vessel of water (a gallon jug perhaps) to which colors which symbolize protection may have been added. As the water level drops, it is replenished so that the item stays covered. The energy it takes to keep track of the water level is a reminder to keep the intent fresh.
I've been told by a couple who used this method that the water appeared to evaporate faster when they suspected "attack".
Further, there are plenty of "visualization" techniques that can be adapted to more concrete methods…wrap a symbol of the attacker in tin-foil, shiny side IN, in order to create a focus that is similar in function to the widely used visualization of "placing the attacker in a mirrored sphere…" so that his or her own trash stays with or comes back to him or her.
Upon this, also considered the "witches ball"…those big reflective lawn
ornaments that look like they are standing in a big white bird bath. These are classic wigits to repel all sorts of negativity. Their small cousins are shiny Christmas tree ornaments…these are nice to hang in the windows of your home…small, portable, quick and easy, and I have reason to believe they work.
Lastly, consider other classical defenses – the "Witches Bottle" – recipes vary, but the general idea is to take a big old jar, like maybe a mayonnaise jar, and fill it with pins, needles, tacks, nails or heaps of brightly colored, tangled threads, along with assorted fluids, some of which are noxious and/or personal… and bury the thing beneath the front step if the home in peril.
Various explanations run that: a) all those pointy ends dissipate the energies and ground them, like so many zillion itty bitty lightning rods, or that any attacking entity will become distracted by the weird and glittery pretties, and HAVE to stop and count every one…by which time they forget the mission…or else they have to stop and follow the tangled threads, each to their ends, (knot one together for real fun) and so, accomplish the same thing. I haven't tried this one.
Telepathy specific techniques include thinking consciously of the person you think is attacking. Conscious awareness seems to do a terrific job of STOPPING telepathic traffic…(even when you wish it wouldn't).
Might I ask WHY the bias against visualization techniques? Might I also ask what makes you so sure you are being attacked?

Gather as many hollyhock seeds in autumn (when the seeds fall) as you can find in a folded piece of paper (loose, brown, dry and round ones and the ones like tarnished pennies). Bury them next to a southern wall with a mint, silver, ancient and copper coin each. By spring your wealth shall measure 12 times this.
Fortuna Good Luck Spell:
Things you need:
-good luck petition
-good luck oil
-green candles
-a piece of green paper
-a small jar
Put as many as these herbs in a green piece of cloth and tie it with
string.
Good Luck Oil:
-1 tablespoon dried
wormwood
-3 teaspoons ground nutmeg
-1/2 teaspoon powdered
mandrake root
-13 drops of pine oil
-1/4 cup olive oil
Place ingredients in a jar and stir it clockwise. Let it sit for 13 nights.

Freeze your Rival Spell
The following spell is to freeze the negativity sent by an enemy. It is an
ancient spell that is very potent. If you cast it you can rest assured that you will certainly stop the antics of your enemy (without harming them). This spell can be cast at any time and during any phase of the moon.
Ingredients:
1 piece of paper large enough for you to print the full name
of your enemy.
A refrigerator
1 ice-cube tray or small plastic bottle.
METHOD:
Step (1) Print the name of your enemy on paper.
If you don't know your enemy's name, just print
"ALL MY ENEMIES".
Step (2) Place paper in ice-cube tray.
Step (3) Fill ice-cube tray with water and place in the freezer compartment of
refrigerator. As you place the tray in freezer repeat this verse:
"Stay there and freeze
For as long as I please."
Step (4) Leave name in ice until danger is past. Do not allow ice to thaw.
FULL MOON MONEY SPELL
Under the full moon, fill a bowl half full of water and drop a silver coin into it. Position bowl so the light of the moon shines into the water. Gently sweep hands above the surface, gathering the moons silver and say:
Lovely Lady of the Moon
Bring to me you wealth right soon.
Fill my hands with silver and gold,
All you can give my purse can hold.
Repeat three times, then pour the water onto the earth.
A few quick spells
Light a candle and on Samhain look at your reflection in a dark window. Close your eyes, ask you question about love or marriage and open you eyes and look quickly over your shoulder. There, his.her refeltion will appear over your left shoulder.
Take a bowl of water. The bowl should be metal or very dark glass. During a full or new moon, light a white or black candle in your sacred space, close your eyes and relax. Ask your question and when you open your eyes look into the water.
Relax and let images or words come into your mind. Try to screen out the talk that usually happens in everyone's mind and just listen to what is trying to be said to you.
Meditate. As you meditate, see yourself on a grassy plain with a forest near you. Go into the forest and listen to the whispering of the wind who will answer your question.
A GENERAL CHARGE FOR SPELL WORK

A TRUE BEAUTY SPELL
Prepare:
A dish full of earth (good soil, not dry dusty dirt)
A yellow candle
A full-sized mirror
Olive, patchouli, jasmine or cinnamon essential oil
A small flower pot
A flower or plant seed
Anoint the candle with the essential oil you have chosen. Place it in the center of the dish of earth. Light it and sit down with it between you and a mirror.
Look deeply into the mirror, concentrate on your reflection. Without being vain, consider the things you find most beautiful about yourself, not just physically, but mentally as well. What is your inner beauty, what is your outer beauty?
Its important that you never think of what you feel must be "changed". Be as positive about the beauty that you have already. Perform this ritual 3 nights in a row.
Once the entire candle has burned down, remove the wax from the dish. Place the earth from the dish inside a small flower pot and plant a seed inside it. Water it and care for it so that it grows properly. You will soon find that you beauty will grow, flourish and shine brighter then ever before, just as the plant grows before you, emerging from its seed.
